michael jackson fucking loled....

So I see they're charging one of his doctors with involuntary manslaughter, there is two things to remember here: you can't have manslaughter without laughter (which is what I did when sicko died) and secondly how is it possible to have a fair trial when the whole world wants to believe michael jackson was murdered and not some fucking junkie taking all kinds of drugs for all kinds of things. This is a new level of retarded, let him burn in hell where he belongs and leave the living the fuck alone. So obviously using this shit to try and have the final say on how he died.... his family are a bunch of media whores, greedy media whores. let the truth be known, jackson was a scumbag and he deserves what he got - no one is to blame but himself. rot.

SAS

In the news lately has been the New Zealand SAS (NZ Elite Unit) after a picture was published showing New Zealand Victoria Cross recipient Willie Apiata deployed in Afghanistan, followed by a slip of the tongue by John Key and now more detail is to be given about the NZ SAS's operations overseas. I believe that the veil of secrecy has been lifted because John Key said too much and to save face the government made the move to be more open with as much operational detail as they could (without putting any NZ soldiers in jeopardy that is). What surprised me about this was that it was said so often that the NZ SAS hadn't fired a shot in anger on their present deployment followed by a bunch of tame, mundane bs.

How is that a good thing? If we have elite forces overseas in a warzone don't we want them to be killing the enemy and doing damage in general? Should be telling New Zealander's that the SAS is 'kicking ass and takin' names', that's what I want to hear instead of the government making their involvement to be no more than that of some scrubly security force.

Of hope...

I feel that life changes in milestones, in changes that add or subtract, life is a journey of personal evolution; the struggles we face, the challenges we meet and our course builds who we are as people. It fills me with joy knowing that I control the life I lead, we can be worried and oppressed by our fears and insecurities but if we have the courage to identify our dark hindrances and find a way to benefit ourselves by changing we can live happy in knowing that we are pursuing our bliss.

New Project!

Yay for finding some motivation to get something done, I am not mapping however. Over the years I have committed many things to paper covering a broad range of subjects I have written some 70,000 words which is a reasonable amount.

Overall my writing has been aimless and a great learning experience, I have always had the goal of finishing a book and having it published; I am now focused on doing just that. I am not taking all my ideas new and old and focusing them into one book project covering social and political ideology, I would say it's a work of philosophy more than anything else. I suspect I will be done within a year, I don't write everyday but always when I have the inclination to do so (artists will understand this :O)

Battlestar Galatica Final

What a fantastic end to an exceptional story, I have no reservations in declaring BSG was the greatest show in the history of television, the final was bitter-sweet, the end of the series but having closure with such and amazing end. I can't put into words how amazing BSG was, the collection of people who came together over the years to give us that gift are very special and I hope until the end of their days they know that. Thanks BSG team.

Oh the hilarity of it all...

Today I came across this rather amusing report on CNN.com - here is an excerpt:

NEW YORK (CNN) -- The founder of an Islamic television station in upstate New York aimed at countering Muslim stereotypes has confessed to beheading his wife, authorities said.
Muzzammil Hassan has been charged with murder in the death of his wife, Aasiya Hassan.

Muzzammil Hassan was charged with second-degree murder after police found the decapitated body of his wife, Aasiya Hassan, at the Bridges TV station in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park, said Andrew Benz, Orchard Park's police chief.

I have to say the irony of it all is quite amusing, I wonder how far this will go toward fighting the negative stereotypes associated with muslims. Obviously it isn't funny that a woman was murdered, perhaps this is in bad taste.. sue me.

Bye Bye Brett

Sadly a few days ago Brett Favre was traded to the New York Jets... This isn't new, it was all over the sports news, just giving my 2c.

One can't say enough about Brett, one of the best QB's to play the game, his performance speaks for itself, the records he holds, his great presence on the field. I really thought last year we had the game vs the Giants in the bag.. I feel like we were robbed and in my GB-biased opinion the better team lost the game. It's sad to see Brett leave us, especially after coming so close last season, I bet NYC will be a big adjustment for him but.. all the best Brett.
